4.9

Little Mister just got his 2nd month jab last Saturday; DPT vaccine against diphtheria, polio and tetanus.
He gained 1.2kg from last month. And he is now 4.9kilos, it's just like a bag of rice. Bahah!
He cried of course from the jab. Well, who doesn't isn't it? And everything went well until late that night, he started to have spiking of temperature. He was feverish! My oh my?!! And then he gets cranky. It is the first time he became like that. He is such a good boy all this while. Such a sweetheart with a lovely smile. Melts ^_^
At first I was quite reluctant to give him fever medicine cause I'm afraid his stomach will gets upset from the meds. However seeing him so cranky and his boy was so hot ooh what I meant was warm to touch I don't dare to wait any longer. So, Here we go syrup paracetamol.. Yummeh!

A day before the jab..

We are siblings!

You see babies are a little creature with really underdeveloped system, I mean their body system. They cannot regulate their body temperature well like we do. So their brain are very sensitive to the change of temperature. That's why they can get easily get fit if they have fever.
If you wanted to avoid meds for your little ones, tepid sponging really does help to cool them down. Using a Luke warm water, sponge them especially on the forehead and also below the armpit area. Remember to remove the clothes first. Just make them wear the diapers. Covering them up with more layers of cloth will not bring down the fever.
Why lukewarm, not cold water? You see, when we sponge our babies, the process of evaporation happens. Evaporation is a cooling process because when water is put over a hot body, heat from the hot body transferred, from the body to the water. The heat causes the water to evaporate and hence heat energy is transferred from the body to water resulting in cooling of the body. In this case, if we were to use cold water it will only results in shivering. Just like when we were out in winter, automatically our body begins to shiver ain't they? It is just a normal body reaction to cold, for our body to heat itself. Hence our body temperature will continue to rise and it is not good for our babies. Got that mommies??

Succeed

Still about potty training. I can say its quite a success. Of course theres still so much to be done. But at least she can say when she need to go to the toilet, you know doing that business thing. Well i still make her wear the drypantz pretending its her underwear, yup like something you wear underneath the pants since our water supply is cut off since that day. Thanks to that oily thing in the water plant treatment place whatever you call that. We are affected by that issue too.
So back to our business. It's a huge success. Hooray!!?!
I can say she became dry by the third day of training.. She can tell she need to pee or poop and she really did it in her potty
You see, potty training is one of the milestone in your child's development. I know it's not like you won a jackpot or lottery. It's just a potty training by the way, if you may say. In other words she just learnt that she need to pee or poop in the toilet. Yeah, it's not something to brag about but talking about being a parent it sure really feel like you hit one!
Being a parent, specifically a mother,
it's no more me nor you, it's all about them. My baby this my daughter that blar blar blar. Ahh, the sweetness of being a mother. I thank you Lord!

The jackpot..
